About the Show
Escape Into a Cause is a podcast for anyone who’s ever thought, “I should really do more…” and then immediately opened Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, or Candy Crush… (do people still play that?).
Hosted by Stephanie Dyer, this show dares you to step away from the scroll and plug into something real—your community. Your values. That nagging part of you that actually wants to help but doesn’t know where to start.
Each week, we talk to nonprofit leaders and everyday do-gooders in Central Texas about what giving back actually looks like—and how you can get involved without joining a committee, wearing a name tag, or sacrificing your entire weekend.
We cover everything from how teens aging out of foster care are being celebrated, to raising kind kids through volunteering, to why women and money are reshaping philanthropy. It’s insightful, a little scrappy, and sometimes hilariously honest.
This podcast won’t change the world. But it might change how you spend your Thursday night.
Escape into a cause. Take action. Tell people.
So yeah. Join us.
Do some good.
Then say it out loud.
Because talking about it isn’t bragging—it’s how we spread it.
